- Poverty concerns billions of people all over the world and there are many approaches of fighting it. A modern tool of poverty reduction is presented by microfinance. This idea of providing financial access to poor people can be a self-preservative sustainable method against poverty. To get a better understanding how this concept works and what it aims for, we analyzed the structure and its actual goals. Throughout this thesis, we focus on how the effects of microfinance can be measured and how examinations apply methods in practice. The study will be assisted by an examination of leading researchers in the field of microfinance. Based on that, the empirical methods of impact measurement will be outlined and evaluated.…
