This paperThe economic crises happen more often and in various regional. Therefore, investors need to see opportunities in different area to get chances for maximizing profit and minimizing risks. This paper researched the recent financial crises from 2007 until 2014 in order to get the opportunities in the world at that time and made comparison about the risks and returns development in large capitalization stock between country categories such as developed, established, and developing market. Classical methods such as statistical parameters and value-at-risk are used to measure the intensity and development of risks and returns in the selected countries. Then, the risks that happened at that time are analyzed by searching the facts in general macroeconomic data, sectorial performance, and government and central bank policies. The analysis as a model gives investors chances to see opportunities or threats in order to diversify investment, especially in stock market.show moreshow less
