Die langjährigen Schwester-Republiken der Russischen Sozialistischen Föderativen Sowjetrepublik (RSFSR) erklärten sich eine nach der anderen für unabhängig und begannen somit den neuen Abschnitt ihrer Geschichte. Seitdem existiert die größte Unionsrepublik und das Kerngebiet der ehemaligen UdSSR unter der Bezeichnung Russische Föderation (RF) und befindet sich in einem langwierigen Transformationsprozess von der zentralen Planwirtschaft zum marktwirtschaftlichen System.Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Darstellung der wichtigsten, für ausländische Direktinvestitionen relevanten wirtschaftlichen Rahmenbedingungen und die Untersuchung möglicher Erfolgsfaktoren eines Engagements in Russland. Als Einstieg in die Arbeit wurde die Einführung der Reformen von Michail Gorbatschow Mitte der 80er Jahre gewählt. Nachfolgend werden die Ereignisse zwischen 1991 bis 1999 in komprimierter Form dargestellt, mit dem Ziel, die Entwicklung des Landes unter Präsident Boris Jelzin und seiner Regierungen zu veranschaulichen. Anschließend folgt die Beschreibung der aktuellen wirtschaftlichen Lage und eine Einführung in die Thematik der Direktinvestitionen sowie deren Motive. In ihrem Hauptteil schildert die vorliegende Arbeit die gegenwärtigen Rahmenbedingungen für ausländische Direktinvestitionen im Lande. Diese Darstellung soll als Anhaltspunkt für Unternehmen dienen, die eine Direktinvestition in Russland anstreben oder bereits planen, und eine Hilfe für ihre Entscheidungen anbieten. Zielrichtung dieses Abschnittes ist die Hindeutung auf mögliche Probleme, deren Ursachen sowie die Ableitung von Empfehlungen für die Praxis. Dies betrifft vor allem die Entscheidungen bei der Durchführung einer Marktanalyse, bei der Wahl des Standortes, der Investitionsform, des Partners sowie bei der Erstellung eines Unternehmenskonzepts. Die gewählten Faktoren bestimmen Erfolg bzw. Misserfolg jeder Investitionstätigkeit und beschränken sich nicht ausschließlich auf russische Verhältnisse. Eine aufmerksame Behandlung dieser Einflussgrößen vor der Durchführung einer Investition kann die Erfolgsaussichten erheblich erhöhen und vor negativen Begleiterscheinungen schützen. Zum Abschluss der Arbeit wird eine kurze Zusammenfassung der Ereignisse mit Ausblick auf die Zukunft gegeben.…

After beingThe 70-years existence of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) went with the decay of the economic and political system of the country at the end of the 80's into the breaks. After being sister-republics of the Russian Socialist Federal Soviet Republic (RSFSR) for many years announced the rest parts of the Soviet Union one after another their independence and began thus the new period of their history. Since that time exists the largest republic and the central area of the former USSR under the designation Russian Federation and is trying to overcome the transformation process from the central planned economy to the free market system. A goal of this thesis is the representation of the most important economic basic conditions that are relevant for foreign direct investments and the investigation of possible success factors of a commitment in Russia. Start point of the thesis is the introduction of the reforms of Mikhail Gorbatschow in the middle of the 80's. In the following are represented the events between 1991 and 1999 in a compressed form in order to illustrate the development of the country under president Boris Yeltsin and his governments. Subsequently, follows the description of the current economic situation and the introduction into the topic of the direct investments as well as their motives. The thesis describes in its main part the present basic conditions for foreign direct investments in the country. This representation has to be a reference point for enterprises, which are interested in a direct investment in Russia and to offer assistance for their decisions. Objective of this section is describing of possible problems, their causes and derivation of recommendations for the practice. This concerns above all the decisions on a market analysis, choice of an appropriate location, form of investment as well as drawing up of an enterprise concept. The selected factors determine success and/or failure of each investment activity and are not exclusively limited to Russian conditions. An attentive treatment of these variables before the execution of an investment can increase chances of success substantially and protect against negative accompaniments. To conclusion of the thesis will be given a short summary of the events with the prospect for the future.…
